Priced at R$ 16.90 per month, it is cheaper than the traditional Premium subscription at R$ 24.90. This new plan is currently in the testing phase and is available to selected accounts.
What features are included in YouTube Premium Lite?
The Premium Lite proposal involves removing ads from both traditional YouTube videos and YouTube Kids, without any additional features.
Lite plan does not include ad-free YouTube Music, background video listening, offline downloads, or ad removal in Shorts or platform navigation, unlike the Premium plan.
It is a choice for individuals seeking a simple video-watching experience without having to pay for unused features.
How can you determine your eligibility for YouTube Premium Lite?
The new plan has only been available on accounts that have not previously subscribed to YouTube Premium. However, there are two methods to determine if your account is eligible to try out the new plan.
By using a web browser.
- Visit the YouTube support page for Premium Lite.
- If you qualify, you will notice a button displaying the message “Access Premium Lite.”
- If it is not visible, it indicates that your account has not been considered yet.
For the application designed for mobile devices:
- Open the application of YouTube on your mobile device.
- Navigate to You > Settings > Shopping and subscriptions > Find out additional information.
- Scroll to the bottom of the signature screen to find the Premium Lite plan, if it has been made available to you, it will be located below the usual choices.
In certain situations, the plan may show up briefly and then vanish if you navigate away from the page. Therefore, it is advisable to sign up promptly if you are interested.
