X, formerly known as Twitter, raised the cost of the “Premium Plus” subscription in various countries, such as Brazil, with an almost 40% increase in certain areas. The company explained that this adjustment was made to better support platform creators, and the new prices took effect on December 21st.
Plan “Premium Plus” is becoming pricier.
The “Premium Plus” plan from X in Brazil now costs R$ 115 per month, which is slightly higher than the previous R$ 109 monthly fee. The price increase in Brazil was around 5%, but varied significantly in other countries.
In the US, subscription prices increased from $16 to $22 monthly and from $168 to $229 annually, a 37.5% rise. Similarly, countries like France, Germany, and Spain raised prices from €16 to €21.

The prices apply to new platform subscribers, while existing “Premium Plus” plan members will see the new rates starting on January 20, with only the most expensive plan currently affected.
The X claims that the rise occurred to enhance payouts to creators and now provides an entirely ad-free experience, which is seen as a substantial enhancement for users.
Premium Plus plan subscribers will get priority support and access to extra features like the Radar trends monitoring tool and increased limits in Grok, an artificial intelligence platform.
