Meta is introducing a widely-used WhatsApp feature to Instagram, enabling users to share their real-time location. The update also includes other minor enhancements like new stickers and the ability to add nicknames in private chats.
Instagram receives real-time location information and other resources.
Instagram now permits users to share their current location with another user in direct messages or group chats, for a limited duration of one hour, as opposed to WhatsApp’s functionality which allows sharing locations for up to 8 hours.
The function is turned off as a standard setting and is currently accessible in select countries. However, it is expected to be rolled out to all users within the next few weeks. During our trials, the real-time location sharing feature was not active yet.

The social network is getting 17 new patches (300 new options) in addition to this feature. You can receive a sticker from someone else and either save it for later or favorite your own stickers created with the “Recuts” tool.
Instagram now permits users to create nicknames for themselves and their friends, which will be visible solely in direct messages (DMs) without affecting the profile information.
To access these functions, ensure the platform application is regularly updated.
