Epic Games requests a judge to compel Apple to make Fortnite available on the App Store.

Epic Games requested a judge to compel Apple to release Fortnite from the US App Store, citing Apple’s alleged retaliatory actions for a delayed game update review.

Epic Games wants you to assess Apple based on its decline.

Epic asserts that it complied with all App Store regulations, yet Cupertino’s response was, “We will not act on this request until the ninth Circuit decides to halt the injunction.” Tim Sweeney and his team view this as Apple reneging on their commitment to the company and the court.

Epic has stated that Fortnite is no longer available on the European App Store due to Apple’s actions in the US, aiming to prevent any impact on players in other regions using the game.

Apple requested Epic Sweden to submit the app update again without the US App Store to avoid affecting Fortnite in other regions. Apple did not remove the live version of Fortnite from other distribution markets in the EC.

Epic seeks more than just moving Fortnite to the store. The new petition requests Judge Rogers to find Apple in contempt and impose fines. The judge had previously criticized Apple’s position and demanded full compliance. It remains to be seen if she will escalate the pressure or await the appeal court’s decision.
