Huawei introduced the new FreeBuds 6 headphones in Brazil at an event in Berlin. The headphones will be available starting May 26 and offer a lightweight design, high-quality sound, and artificial intelligence features for a premium listening experience, despite their open design that can be affected by noisy surroundings.
FreeBuds 6 is the initial true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds featuring two drivers.
The FreeBuds 6 are the first TWS earbuds globally to feature both a planar driver and an 11 mm dynamic driver in a sealless design. This unique setup enables the headphones to provide deep bass, clear treble, and rich sound quality without the need for physical ear isolation, thanks to the True Sound system incorporating Bass Turbo 2.0 technology.
The FreeBuds 6 come in black, white, and purple colors and have a sleek design resembling a jewel finish. They feature the “Huawei Sound” engraving on the surface. Each earbud weighs 4.9 g, and the case weighs 40 g, making them lightweight and easy to carry.
The controls consist of touch-sensitive features.

The earbuds support L2HC 4.0 technology along with codecs like LDAC, AAC, and SBC. Users can personalize the sound using two profiles: Classic and Balanced.
The FreeBuds 6 features a dynamic triple equalizer that automatically adapts the sound based on factors such as volume, earbud placement, and ambient noise. This guarantees clear music quality regardless of movement, conversation, or surroundings.
AI is utilized for noise cancellation in conjunction with a bone conduction microphone to effectively reduce external noise by up to 95 decibels in real time, ensuring clear calls by filtering voices.
The battery provides 36 hours of playback and a quick 5-minute charge gives over 2 hours of use. The headphones are IP54 certified for water and dust resistance and can connect to two devices simultaneously, compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows.
