TikTok announces it will resume operations in the United States.

The weekend was tumultuous for TikTok influencers and users as the app went offline in the United States on Saturday night due to a law prohibiting its operation. However, it seems that TikTok is on the verge of returning now, just over 12 hours later.

TikTok recently announced that they are working to bring back service for users in the USA.

TikTok is currently working with its service providers to restore service, and they appreciate President Trump’s clarification and reassurance to the providers.

TikTok expressed a firm stance in support of the First Amendment and against random censorship. They mentioned their willingness to collaborate with President Trump to find a lasting solution that allows the app to remain in the U.S.

Trump announced over the weekend that he would issue an executive order on Monday to delay the implementation of the law bans in order to reach an agreement to safeguard national security.

This situation was a somewhat anti-climactic result for a long-running saga, with the Supreme Court rejecting ByteDance’s request to delay the TikTok ban due to national security concerns.
